Abba-labba-lá is a new restaurant located in the heart of Akureyri. The restaurant takes its name from a poem by one of Iceland’s most beloved poets, Davíð Stefánsson.

Inspired by the freedom and creativity of Icelandic literature, the cuisine places emphasis on curiosity, imagination, and confidence in developing new dishes and flavor experiences.

Each dish evolves like a beautiful poem — expressive, refined, and slightly adventurous, with a touch of mystery — whether it is a signature main course, a smaller sharing plate, or a diverse selection of starters and desserts.

The kitchen works with high-quality seasonal ingredients, combining the unique character of northern Iceland with diverse international influences, always placing flavor and presentation at the forefront.

Opening Hours

The kitchen is open daily from 12:00 PM to 9:00 PM.

• On Sundays and Mondays, only the bar menu is available.

The bar menu is served daily from 12:00 PM to 9:00 PM.

The bar is open from 12:00 PM to 11:00 PM.

• On Fridays and Saturdays, the bar is open until 11:00 PM
• Happy Hour is available everyday from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM.

The dinner menu is served from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM.

The south-facing balcony is open from 15:00 PM to 9:00 PM.
