A small evening restaurant inspired by the spirit of the well-known Forréttabarinn in Reykjavík, with a focus on local ingredients, creative cooking, and our unique fjord setting.
Throughout the summer, our kitchen is shaped by a rotating series of talented international head chefs. Each chef stays for around two weeks, bringing their own style, flavours, and creative approach to our daily changing four-course menu.
The restaurant is open every evening from 18:00–22:00, June 1st to August 30th. With just 30 seats, it is a small and intimate restaurant serving both travellers and locals.
Pair your meal with a carefully curated selection of regional craft ales and an impressive wine list, and enjoy an authentic dining experience in the heart of the East Fjords.
Information
Owner and chef Róbert Ólafsson is a native of Berunes and the founder of Forréttabarinn in Reykjavík. With over 30 years of international culinary experience, rooted in the traditions passed down from his mother and grandmother, he brings a passion for simple, high-quality Icelandic cuisine.
