Forréttabarinn, established in 2011, is the culinary venture of Róbert Ólafsson, a seasoned chef with over three decades of experience in both Icelandic and international hotels and restaurants. The original restaurant is located by the old harbour in Reykjavík, but we've just opened our sister restaurant at Frakkastígur. Our menu boasts an array of delectable offerings, creatively crafted in various shapes and sizes. We pride ourselves on using fresh, locally sourced ingredients, with a focus on seafood, meat, and vegetables, all while infusing flavors influenced by Southern Europe and Central America. Dedicated to catering to diverse preferences, our extensive selection includes a variety of enticing vegetarian & vegan dishes. At our bar, patrons can enjoy a well-curated assortment of national and international beers on tap, complemented by an exciting wine list and must-try house cocktails. Happy hour drinks Tue - Sat from 12:00 - 18:00 and 16:00 - 18:00 Sun & Mon. Your table is reserved for 2 hours which should give you good time to enjoy the cuisine and atmosphere. Last order for the kitchen is at 22:00 but the bar is open until 23:00
