Dineout | Mjólkurbúið Food hall

Mjólkurbúið (The Old Dairy) food hall offers a variety of restaurants to choose from with cuisines from all over the world and focus on local ingredients.

The Old Dairy was a historical house in Selfoss. It was the first dairy factory in Iceland, initially built in 1929. The dairy collected milk from local farmers' cows to produce fresh milk, cheese, cream, and skyr. The house was demolished in 1954 when the dairy moved to larger premises on the same site, but it was reconstructed and opened again in 2021 with a new role as a modern culture and culinary center.
