Southerners' Assembly Hall

The Stage is a multipurpose entertainment hall, designed for concerts and is also ideal for various events such as celebrations, meetings, dances and other entertainment.

The Stage is located on the ground floor of Friðrikgáfa, a magnificent meeting house at Brúartorg in the new center of Selfoss. On the middle floor of Friðriksgáfa Samkomuhús, is the entertainment venue Miðbar which operates and is connected to the Stage – directly and indirectly – as it is owned by the same party and the venues are run in parallel.

A lot of effort was put into making the Stage the best it can be and no expense was spared, as the Stage is intended as a venue for the people of Selfoss for many decades. The hall was designed and conceived with the burgundy Selfoss color in mind and, among other things, references to Selfoss and the old Selfossbíó can be found throughout the Stage.
