Sól Restaurant & Greenhouse: A Unique Nordic Dining Experience

Sól is a one-of-a-kind restaurant, suspended above and inside a living greenhouse on a glass floor, where guests dine surrounded by lush greenery and fresh produce.

With panoramic views of the greenhouse, guests can witness the cultivation of fresh salad greens, tomatoes, cucumbers, edible flowers, and herbs, all of which are harvested and used directly in our kitchen and bar. Additionally, Sól offers a breathtaking view of Hvaleyrarlón lagoon, where nature provides a stunning and serene backdrop to your dining experience.

The sunset at Sól is truly magical—one of the most beautiful you can experience. On calm evenings, the colors of the setting sun reflect upon the lagoon, creating an unforgettable scene.

At Sól, we take pride in using the freshest ingredients, including our own in-house harvest, ensuring a direct connection between the food and its environment. Our philosophy revolves around sustainability, premium-quality produce, and a deep respect for Nordic culinary traditions. To complement our dining experience, we also brew our own exclusive beer, available only at Sól.
